Superman may be from krypton-but he comes from something within each of us.  “Danny Fingeroth”

The superhero serves a dual purpose in society, first to mold the individuals psyche to be superego dominate and secondly to align the individuals desires needs with those of the American Groupmind (A body of likeminded individuals i.e. French, German, Italian (Also superego dominate)).  This becomes problematic when the adolescent negotiates the turmoil and difficulties of puberty (Super id Crisis).  The SuperId crisis is defined by the rising up of the oedipaly repressed sexual feelings of the individual that return when the body physically sexually matures.  Conflict is ever present due to the individual’s and Groupmind’s SuperEgo’s suppressing the SuperId and it’s attempts to satisfy healthy sexual pleasures from the Id.

The superhero (Superego) genre has taken over a large part of religions role in society today, while being the same invisible (latent) psycal construct that censors the individuals thoughts and ideas to conform to the Groupmind’s needs (Mainly for obtaining wealth and territory) to make an divine superego in favor of perverse socially (Monotheist) acceptable but insufficient subsitute.  All monotheist religions replaced Oedipal polytheism in favor of psycal development of the individual and Groupmind.

Who am I?  SuperEgo/SuperId:  I am the mechanism for perfecting and serving society and I know exactly what actions I must take to do that.  It seems audiences insisted that a superhuman adventurer be torn between two lives.  “Phrased another way we wish to be both orphan and member of a family”…FingerRoth pg98,  because we have both individual and groupmind psycal needs.
